Sept-Îles (Uashat), February 17th, 2021 – Tshiuetin Rail Transportation is proud to renew its partnership with Airmedic. This
agreement with the company specializing in aeromedical assistance represents a safety enhancement for our passengers.
The two-year renewal of the agreement will ensure a rapid medical assistance service adapted to the geographic reality of the
communities served by our rail service between Sept-Îles and Schefferville, where there is no access to the right-of-way by
road. Our customers thus benefit from quality service that is safe and reliable and meets their requirements.
«It is reassuring for our organization to count on Airmedic’s professionalism, competent resources and support. Their high
safety standards are perfectly in line with our values,» said Tanis Peterson, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of
Tshiuetin Rail Transportation.
Thanks to its various bases strategically located throughout Quebec and its many partners, Airmedic can quickly set up an
urgent medical assistance, even in isolated regions. Moreover, with its certification to fly at night, Airmedic’s emergency
center can deploy its operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
«The commitment we are renewing with such an important economic and social player as Tshiuetin Rail Transport represents
a natural partnership for Airmedic. Providing peace of mind and safety to passengers on board the TRT passenger train is at
the heart of Airmedic’s mission,» said Sophie Larochelle, Chief Executive Officer of Airmedic.
