#388-2025 Global Compensation and Human Resources Officer
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Human Resources Department, the incumbent will be called upon to carry out various technical tasks involving the verification, calculation, follow-up, distribution and updating of information relating to total compensation. In addition, the incumbent will contribute to the efficiency of staffing files and the performance of general administrative tasks for the Human Resources Department.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out technical work in various files such as employment confirmations, temporary promotion salaries, allowances, annual vacation and statutory vacations, indexation of salary scales and others, with reference to applicable lists, documents and procedures;
- Answer questions and provide information on policies, procedures and benefits, such as bonus calculations, annual vacations, statutory vacations, etc.;
- Process alimony and wage garnishment files;
- Remit deductions at the source, RBA, alimony, etc. ;
- Count absences due to paid leave or sick leave;
- Keep up to date with all legal obligations relating to payroll administration;
- Master the various articles of the collective agreement in force and the managerial staff handbook relating to the remuneration of unionized employees and management staff;
- Coordinate end-of-employment procedures;
- Prepare HR payroll statistics and indicators;
- Support the Human Resources and Accounting Departments to optimize collaboration;
- Complete Statistics Canada surveys;
- Manage employee absences due to disability and work-related injuries; Participate in the organization of various events; and
- Perform other accounting-related tasks
PROFILE REQUIRED
Studies
- College diploma in administration, human resources or in a related field.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years experience in payroll management; and
- Two years of experience in a human resource role.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of spoken and written French and English;
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, etc.); and
- Knowledge of Acomba software; and
- knowledge of the Canadian labor code.
